Medicor - The IATA 650 approved diagnostic postal transport system.

Suppliers to the NHS, the use of Medicor for transportation of diagnostic specimens has seen a dramatic increase as awareness of the IATA transport regulations grow.

Safety, reliability and cost have seen the Medicor product outsmart the other costly solutions available on the market.

How does Medicor Work?

Each sample vial is placed in an appropriately sized crush-resistant core that has, as its innermost winding, a super absorbent material capable of instantly absorbing and locking in any spilt liquid. Custom engineered flow-seal caps push fit into the ends of the cores compressing the super absorber. Should the primary container leak near the end of the tube the escaping liquid will gel-block in the area of compression forming a watertight seal.

The sealed cores are placed in a Medicor tear-resistant envelope that can contain one or more samples. This system has a considerable advantage over existing packaging in that it builds up in a modular fashion. In other words the size of the package directly relates to the number of samples being sent thereby reducing postage costs.

While several different sizes are available as standard the method of manufacture allows, subject to quantity, this product to be tailored to customer's requirements without incurring significant tooling costs.
